NuLu
Bock Fest

NuLu Business Association's annual spring event NuLu Bock Fest took place on Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 12:00 pm to 6:00pm!

2025 marked the eighth year of the beloved event. This street festival spanning 4 blocks within the NuLu Neighborhood featured the Jefferson County Farm Bureau adult and baby goat races, locally crafted bock beer, live music, kids activities, local vendors and more!

NuLu is coincidentally home to two goat named alleys, Nanny Goat Strut and Billy Goat Strut, making it a fitting place for Louisville’s largest bock beer festival. Local breweries served up their 2025 bock beers, along with other selections. Craft cocktails and mixed drinks were also for sale.

The annual Kentucky Proud Wurst Fest provided local restaurants the opportunity to put their spin on this traditional dish for the chance to be crowned the Best of the Wurst Fest Winner. The 2025 Best of the Wurst winner was The Last Refuge.

Join us next year as we drink locally brewed bock beers and enjoy the famous goat races on Market Street in a fun and safe atmosphere!

presented by Whiskey Thief

A 502 ft. fun run/walk/strut to kick off NuLu Bock Fest!

This "micro marathon" took place on Clay Street between Nanny Goat Strut & Billy Goat Strut on Saturday, March 22 at 11:30am. The pre-race started on Nouvelle's patio with a celebratory "popping of the champagne".

On your mark, get set, DONE! Finally, a race for the rest of us. Just 502 feet stands between you & eternal glory! Before the Bock Fest festivities start, work those beer drinking muscles while you sip & strut your way across the finish line in a completely unserious manner.

In a city known for the biggest horse race in the world, this "Run for the Poses" is a new fun and unique event you don't want to miss!

Registration includes chip timing, a NuLu 502 goat medal, a commemorative cup, and your first Bock Fest beer on us!

Goodwood and Whiskey Thief will be hosting a finish line party next to Goodwood on Clay Street.

Rock your best silly Bock Fest outfit or simply show up ready to sip some beer and strut your way across the finish line!

Stay tuned for 2026 event information!

The goats participating in the Jefferson County Farm Bureau Goat Races are from Sunny Acres Farm. The Louisville Aggies, a local 4H group, will run alongside the goats helping them to the finish line. Grandstands will be placed on either side of the track for better audience viewing.

The races will begin with the Blessing of the Goats and Bock Beer. The featured race will be the Forecast Dash Baby Goat Race where Louisville’s meteorologists battle it out for a $500 prize made to the winning forecaster’s charity of choice.
